 Vermont Ballet Theater School, the official school of the Vermont Ballet Theater and the widely acclaimed "Vermont's Own Nutcracker”, is scheduled to open a studio in Shelburne this September. As a satellite school of its already successful program in Essex, the Shelburne campus of VBTS will provide dancers from Shelburne, Charlotte and surrounding communities with a more convenient option to its school in Essex. Centrally located at Shelburne Commons, the studio will provide the same high quality dance education that its dancers receive at the Essex location, just closer to home. As Vermont's largest and most established ballet school, VBTS has the unique ability to provide all its students with professional and pre-professional dance training and performance experience in a friendly and nurturing environment. VBTS' expertly trained instructors come from varied dance backgrounds that enable them to provide knowledgeable training and unique experiences to all their students at both campuses. Many of VBTS' students have gone on to pursue professional dance careers, while others have taken their love of dance and the grace and discipline learned  at VBTS to pursue other dreams.
