Instructor

Katherine Neff Stevens was born and raised in Stowe, Vermont where she began her dance training at the age of 3 with Helena Sullivan at the Stowe Dance Academy. Katherine studied under the tutelage of Helena for 15 years training in the styles of ballet, jazz, hip hop and tap. After high school, she continued her dance training at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she received her B.F.A. in Modern Dance Performance and a minor in Photography. She has attended several prestigious summer programs including the Alvin Ailey Pre-Professional Program in New York City, the Point Park Summer Intensive in Pittsburgh, as well as, Movement Research's MELT in New York City. Katherine recently has returned to Vermont from Boulder, Colorado where she became certified as a practitioner of Rolfing Structural Integration ™. She has been teaching dance for over 12 years at studios in Vermont, Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is very excited to be a new addition to the Vermont Ballet Theater staff!
